19th Annual Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz And R&B Festival Saturday, April 30 and Sunday May 1 2011
Eleven of the biggest names in jazz and R & B plus four 2011 Grammy-nominated artists to perform tickets on sale now
Michael Schivo Presents, celebrating 45 years as Nevada's premier Pop, Rock and Jazz concert promoter, has again teamed up with KJLH Radio Free and KTWV The Wave In Los Angeles and The Oasis 105.7 and Power 88 in Las Vegas to co-sponsor the 19th Annual Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz & R&B Festival.
The festival will remain at its location at Government Amphitheater. The Government Amphitheater, according to producer Michael Schivo “has superior sightlines and a sound system will deliver the jazz attendee the great experience they deserve. Also parking is improved and is easily accessible to the venue. As well as there are two new restroom areas and increased space for the Vendor Village.” The amphitheater is located very close to Downtown Las Vegas and closer to the Las Vegas Strip than past festivals for convenience when staying in a hotel....Go to OFF THE STRIP page... |

Tickets for Las Vegas’ official PGA TOUR event, Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, are on sale now. The weeklong charitable tournament kicks off on Sept. 25 at the masterfully designed TPC Summerlin, where guests escape into an oasis situated within the natural desert and surrounded by the Las Vegas skyline and Red Rock mountains.
Fans that are looking for a luxurious way to view the tournament can purchase coveted tickets on The Hill, a 22,000-square-foot pavilion overlooking the 16th, 17th, and 18th holes. In the past, ticket-holders have been provided fare from premium restaurants and cold beverages including wine and spirits while catching the tournament play. Guests will also enjoy comfortable seating and 50-inch, plasma-screen televisions for viewing other high action sports during the event.

It was back in 1970 that television catapulted a 20-year-old David Cassidy into a teen idol phenomenon when he took on his role as Keith Partridge in the hit sitcom, The Partridge Family.
Today, some 41 years later, Cassidy, is not only still showing the world that there IS life after TV but that there are many different channels that an artist can explore. Besides continuing to be a sold-out global performer, he has kept his hand in songwriting, acting, producing and directing and was also a contestant on the 2011 Celebrity Apprentice. And when he appears at the Orleans May7-8, it will just be one more indication of how strong his network of loyal followers remains and how much he and they will always be, well, birds of a feather, so to speak. ...Read More…

When it comes to al things Michael Jackson in Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay is planning one “thriller” of a celebration for the late pop superstar. At a press conference this week, the resort’s president and COO Chuck /Bowling; Cirque du Soleil President and CEO Daniel Lamarre and the Estate of Michael Jackson Co-Executor John Branca, confirmed that there will be a permanent Michael Jackson production at the property and announced new aspects of the creative relationship. Mandalay Bay’s theater, currently housing The Lion King,, will be transformed for the permanent production, slated to open in Spring 2013.
