A House Becomes a Home for Hope for the Homeless

A fun and unique house event open to the public will be a home for the holidays with wine, personal care products, entertainment and culinary treats all designed to bring the “spirits” and “beauty’ of the season to Las Vegas. The day also has a charitable mission, which is to help ensure that the homeless are not left out in the cold when it comes to receiving the help needed for them to become a valuable part of the community.

 
Hosted by Senior Director Dawna Herndon of the Boisset Wine Collection Ambassador Program and Executive Consultant Dinah Ihle of Rodan +Fields skincare, the event will take place from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Herndon’s home. There, folks will enjoy a wine tasting along with facial demonstrations and will have the opportunity to make a purchase in time for the holidays Those interested in attending should RSVP to: This email address is being protected from spambots. Admission is free but guests are encouraged to bring articles of clothing such as coats, hats, or business attire or a monetary donation for CARE Complex, an organization located in the Corridor of Hope on Foremaster Lane in downtown Las Vegas that seeks to eliminate homelessness and achieve self-reliance and full assimilation back into society for homeless individuals. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the sales of Boisset and Rodan+Fields will be donated as well.
 
Dawna Herndon, who has been in the direct to consumer wine business since 2003, is now one of the Boisset Collection of wine ambassadors that bring wine tastings directly into your home. At this event, she will have available DeLoach of Russian River Valley, Buena Vista of Sonoma, and Raymond of Napa wines, along with some of her other favorites that she enjoys sharing. Owned by wine magnate Jean Charles Boisset, the company also has available for purchase a Swarovski crystal jewelry collection, Baccarat crystal decanters, champagne and wine stemware, perfume, handbags, gift packages, and even dog treats. Boisset also does custom engraving and logos. Many of these products will be featured at the house event along with a copy of Jean Charles Boisset’s book, “Alchemy of the Senses.”
 
Dinah Ihle is an executive consultant with Rodan+Fields and will be displaying the company’s premium skincare products at the event. Created by Drs. CARE Complex is located in the heart of the corridor of hope in Downtown Las Vegas on Foremaster Lane. In partnership with Homeless Helpers, Veteran's Village, SHARE, and the Las Vegas community, CARE Complex offers services that help to prevent or end homelessness. Some of the services that CARE provides are Full Functioning Computer Lab -Lockers & Mailbox Service, Clothing distribution, Job Search/Interview, RTC Bus Passes, Hygiene Packages, Bathroom use, and a 24-Hour Water Fill Station. There are hopes and plans to add more services
