Global superstar Katy Perry recently kicked off her headlining Las Vegas residency, Katy Perry: PLAY at the brand-new Resorts World Theatre. The newly opened 5,000-capacity theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, exclusively programmed and operated by Concerts West / AEG The intimate multi-level venue, with the furthest seat only 150 feet from the stage, features unparalleled comfort, unobstructed sightlines and an unmatched spatial audio experience through more than 200 L-Acoustics speakers powered by L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound technology. Additional Katy Perry: PLAY show dates on sale include Jan 7, 8, 12, 14, 15 and March 2, 4, 5, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19.

Another global superstar has announced a Las Vegas residency. Adele will be presenting WEEKENDS WITH ADELE, an exclusive residency in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which will begin on Friday, January 21, 2022. She will perform two shows each weekend through Saturday, April 15, 2022. The announcement comes on the heels of the release of her fourth studio album, “30,” which has been called by critics and fans alike her boldest and most ambitious album yet. It debuted at #1 in 30 countries.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar has announced six new performance dates for his critically-acclaimed Las Vegas Strip residency, “Sammy Hagar & Friends,” at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod. Due to popular demand, new concerts have just been added on Wednesday, Feb. 9, Friday, Feb. 11, Saturday, Feb. 12, Wednesday, March 23, Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26. Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Jan. 12. Hagar’s residency, which debuted this fall with a run of six sold-out concerts, is presented by his award-winning portfolio of spirits, including Santo Tequila and Mezquila, a partnership with Guy Fieri; his premium Puerto Rico-made Beach Bar Rum, with partner Rick Springfield; and Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co., his new top-shelf sparkling rum cocktails in a can. Shows featured surprise performances by rock greats and friends including the legendary Bob Weir of Grateful Dead, Grammy Award winner Rick Springfield, and Stephen Pearcy from epic rock band, RATT. The announcement comes on the heels of Hagar’s designation as the first official Honorary Ambassador for Los Cabos, Mexico. Honoring his longtime investment in the people and economy of Los Cabos, an award and medal were presented to Hagar last week at a commemorative ceremony with some of the region’s top dignitaries.

Twelve-time GRAMMY Award-winner, multiplatinum artist, activist, and EGOT (Emmy, GRAMMY, Oscar and Tony) winner John Legend will headline a Las Vegas residency, “Love In Las Vegas,” at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, opening Friday, April 22, 2022. Designed exclusively for Zappos Theater and promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, “Love In Las Vegas” will be a beautiful, soulful concert experience showcasing Legend’s greatest hits. The performance will feature Legend’s full band and will be a vibrant, colorful celebration of love and coming together, sentiments echoed on Legend’s GRAMMY Award-winning seventh studio album, “Bigger Love,” and companion 2021 headline tour.

The San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority (SMGHA) an affiliate of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians recently announced they received approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission as licensees for Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. With this approval, SMGHA Nevada, LLC, owned by SMGHA, is set to close the transaction and become owners of Palms Casino Resort with plans to reopen next year in the spring. Recruitment for more than 1,000 positions ranging from casino, operations, hotel management, food and beverage along with supervisor positions is underway.

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art announces the recent opening of Ase: Afro Frequencies, a multi-sensory digital art exhibition presented by ARTECHOUSE in collaboration with Afro-Surrealist visual artist Vince Fraser and poet Ursula Rucker. Taking visitors through an immersive, interactive journey, Ase: Afro Frequencies celebrates the historical, social and cultural aspects of the Black experience through the artists’ lens, brought to life in a new digital interactive context. Designed around the Yoruban philosophy of ase (pronounced ah-shay), meaning our power to exact change, this exhibition features installations inspired by West African traditions, presenting them as symbols of Black culture and hope.

Shania Twain, the top-selling female country artist of all-time, has announced the final 16 dates for her residency show, Shania Twain “Let’s Go!” at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The shows will take place June 3 – 18 and Aug. 26 – Sept. 10, 2022. Since opening in December of 2019, Shania, who serves as creative director of the show, has made several updates to the production, including for her upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend performances.

Michael Bublé, the multi-platinum, multi-Grammy winning artist, has announced he will headline a limited engagement at the Las Vegas Strip’s newest integrated resort, Resorts World Las Vegas, beginning April 27, 2022. The six-show run is produced by AEG Presents. The exclusive Las Vegas shows will give Michael Bublé fans an extraordinary opportunity to experience the incomparable performer up-close-and-personal in the new 5,000-capacity, state-of-the-art Resorts World Theatre. The spectacular production will feature the Grammy-award winning singer’s timeless hits accompanied by a full orchestra and unmatched audio and video technology for an only-in-Vegas unforgettable night with Michael Bublé.

Rock legend John Fogerty is returning to the intimate Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas with an extended 2022 residency, following his wildly successful run of shows at the venue this year. Performances are set for Feb. 23, 25, 26 and March 2, 4, 5. Fogerty received a key to the Las Vegas Strip during his 2019 run at Wynn Las Vegas in recognition of his dedication to supporting veterans in the city and across the country. His chart-topping hits with Creedence Clearwater Revival are known around the world, including “Proud Mary,” “Centerfield,” “Fortunate Son” and more.

M Resort Spa Casino will continue its concert series for the year with two more epic concerts. In February, fans of the legendary Motown recording artists The Dramatics and The Delfonics can attend a memorable concert. In March Ladies of Rock, The Tribute To Blondie, Heart, Cindy Lauper, Joan Jett and Pat Benatar will perform the best of rock music dedicated to these powerful female vocalists.

The STRAT and Spi Entertainment will welcome their second residency -- legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick -- to The STRAT Theater stage, starting with four shows in early 2022. Tickets are available for shows on Friday, Feb. 25, Saturday, Feb. 26, Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5. Thanks to a rock ‘n’ roll and pop sound that is undeniably their own, Cheap Trick continues to sell out shows with a string of classic hits including “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police,” “Surrender,” and worldwide #1 hit song, “The Flame.” Founded in 1974, Cheap Trick includes legendary original band members Robin Zander, vocalist and guitarist, Rick Nielsen on lead guitar, and Petersson. Daxx Nielsen joined the band on drums in 2010.

Resorts World Las Vegas recently announced that deadmau5 will be next in line on the all-star list of residents at Zouk Nightclub. The multiple JUNO Award-winning and GRAMMY®-nominated artist began his residency on January 5. Here, deadmau5 will present ‘The Cube,’ a new iteration of his signature structure for Las Vegas exclusively at Zouk Nightclub. Playing off his cubev3 major touring production --the most complex live show he has ever presented—his custom cube performance is highlighted by additional new visuals, enhanced production and music.

Flamingo Las Vegas and the legendary Wayne Newton proudly announce new dates of his show, “Wayne: Up Close and Personal,” in the Wayne Newton Theater inside Bugsy’s Cabaret. Having achieved “headliner” status for the first time in his career at Flamingo in the 1960s, Mr. Las Vegas will make a triumphant return to the iconic resort beginning Jan. 24. Performance dates are set for January, February, March, April, May and June. “Wayne: Up Close and Personal” presents the entertainer in an intimate setting where he will interact with the audience, perform some favorite songs and share personal career highlights through songs, film clips, anecdotes and audience Q&A.

Featuring new songs by more than a dozen iconic singers, “Terry Fator: Who’s the Dummy Now?” takes famed singer, comedian, ventriloquist and “America’s Got Talent” winner Terry Fator and his audience on a whimsical journey of discovery as we learn how and why the world-renowned ventriloquist created many of his beloved cast of puppets. Each reflects a different part of his life, his personality, and the people he’s met along the way. Fator is joined onstage by a cast of characters that includes Winston, the Impersonating Turtle; Maynard Tompkins, the Elvis impersonator; Duggie Scott Walker, the annoying neighbor; legendary country singer and ladies’ man, Walter T. Airdale; crooning soul singer Julius; and many others. Fator will be performing Sunday thru Thursday in New York-New York’s Liberty Loft beginning January 16th.

Legends in Concert, the longest-running show on the Las Vegas Strip, returns to its legendary home in the Legends in Concert Theatre at Tropicana Las Vegas, to kick-off the 2022 season with a diva-filled Legendary line-up. Starting February 2, audiences will experience the music of amazing female superstars, as they take the stage to pay homage to some of the greatest artists in music history. Elisa Furr, fresh off Jimmy Fallon’s Clash of the Cover Bands®, takes the stage as Celine Dion, embracing the vocal prowess and passionate showmanship for which Celine is known. With her distinctive contralto singing voice, Cher will be performed by Lisa McClowry. Tierney Allen returns to the Legends stage embodying all that is Lady Gaga. Rounding out this iconic cast will be Janae Longo as Adele. Taking this show to the highest Diva Level will be Las Vegas’ most famous Diva, Frank Marino, who makes his return as Celebrity Host and his portrayal of Joan Rivers, the pioneer of women in comedy.

“Angel of Arkansas,” a new show by Richard Oberacker and Robert Taylor, creators of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical “Bandstand,” will receive a premiere concert-style presentation at Notoriety Live at Neonopolis in the 175-seat Renkus-Heinz Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. Featuring a stellar cast of Broadway and Vegas talent and a live six-piece band of Sin City’s leading country rock musicians, ticket sales will benefit local popular nonprofit, The Composers Showcase, which provides a platform for original musical works, scholarship, and financial assistance to the Las Vegas Entertainment Community. The concert will be followed by a gala reception with the performers and creatives.

The Neon Museum unveiled the most significant upgrade ever to the visitor experience in its North Gallery, home of its popular 360-degree audiovisual show, Brilliant! The improvements within the newly reimagined North Gallery are focused on enhancing the educational experience offered in the space and include a new “Las Vegas Luminaries” mural, the next iteration of the museum’s immersive show titled Brilliant! Jackpot, new educational components, and customer feedback options. As part of the reimagined space, The Neon Museum worked with local artists to add the “Las Vegas Luminaries” mural on the area’s south wall to pay tribute to the diverse communities and lesser-known individuals who have significantly impacted Las Vegas cultural history.

As a freestanding work of public art, the mural is viewable 24/7 for free; a ticket to the show or museum is not required. The mural serves as an iconic entryway for Brilliant!, which underwent its most significant update yet to its music and video presentation as part of the North Gallery’s reimagination. The new iteration of the show, entitled Brilliant! Jackpot, includes an expanded playlist and remastered historical video. The show now plays a selection of 54 songs spread across various timelines featuring the entertainment icons who made Vegas the Entertainment Capital of the World, such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Engelbert Humperdinck, Ann-Margret and more.

Huddle up football fans – HyperX Arena Las Vegas inside Luxor Hotel and Casino will open its doors for a Big Game celebration on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 2 – 8 p.m. PST. Sports lovers can catch all the action on the Arena’s state-of-the-art LED video wall and dozens of flat screen TVs while enjoying a la carte bites and an open bar featuring call liquors, wine and beer. Doors to the Arena’s Big Game festivities will open at 2 p.m. with kick off scheduled for 3:30 p.m. All seats are priced at $100. Tickets include seating and an open bar through the third quarter.

In the first weekend of February, Drai’s Nightclub will welcome football fans to the entertainment capital of the world with a superstar lineup of Drai’s LIVE performances for the weekend of the NFL Pro Bowl. The exciting weekend will be kicked off with a performance by Ludacris on Friday, Feb. 4, followed by DaBaby on Saturday, Feb. 5. Drai’s has also announced that it will be bringing back Sunday night parties to the iconic nightclub during Pro Bowl weekend. On Sunday, Feb. 6, Lil Baby will help Drai’s bring back Sunday nights with a bang by performing an explosive concert after Pro Bowl.

Country star Kane Brown will bring his pop and R&B-flavored country hits to the Laughlin Event Center when he takes the stage at Laughlin’s premier outdoor concert venue on Friday, March 4. Brown, an American Music Award winner, is known for top hits including “What Ifs,” “Heaven” and the album “Kane Brown,” all landing on the music charts. Brown was the first artist to have simultaneous works topping five of Billboard’s country music charts. The CMT Music Awards and ACM Awards winner has also crossed genres with an EDM single with artist Marshmello, lending his voice to the song, “One Thing Right.”

Buddy Valastro’s love of Las Vegas just got sweeter with another restaurant opening early 2022. The star of the hit TLC series Cake Boss will open The Boss Café by Buddy Valastro at The LINQ Hotel + Experience. The Boss Café will join la famiglia of Buddy V’s Ristorante, Carlo’s Bakery and PizzaCake with casual, to-go dining capturing the savory and sweet side of the famed New Jersey chef and restaurateur. Inspired by all the neighborhood delis and markets in New Jersey and New York that Valastro and his family grew up with, The Boss Café features a variety of fresh baked breads, Italian sandwiches, hand-crafted pizzas, a house-made fresh mozzarella bar, and a variety of sweets and pastries.

Local art gallery Core Contemporary will present a limited engagement exhibition sponsored by Meow Wolf Las Vegas and Core Arts Concord entitled “Local Explorations” starting Saturday, Jan. 22. The exhibition will feature artwork in various mediums and styles from 13 of the Las Vegas-based artists who contributed their talents to Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart. “Local Explorations'' will be on display at Core Contemporary, located at 900 E. Karen Ave Ste D222, Wednesday - Saturday from 12-4 p.m. through Saturday, Feb. 26.
