“WOW” is what we say to describe something that takes our breath away. In this case, the letters are also short for World of Wonder, the internationally-acclaimed, family friendly, water spectacular, that made its North American debut at the Rio Showroom (formerly the Crown Theatre) at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Saturday night October 7, with the intention of “Wow”ing everyone in the audience.

Created and directed by former Israeli street mime, turned famed director, Hanoch Rosènn, known worldwide for his extravagant and large-scale productions, the water themed, variety show (which has been seen by more than 2.5 million people, to date) features a cast of 30 performing artists from around the world including amazing dancers, acrobats, arial acts, a pole duo, jugglers, other novelty acts like a human water fountain from Africa, a jaw dropping female archery expert that was a finalist on America's Got Talent, and some comedy relief by a nerdy fisherman whose fantasy adventure is woven throughout the show.

Beautifully staged and choreographed dance numbers pay tribute to movies featuring water such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Titanic, and Singing in the Rain. There is also a nod to Venice, Italy, featuring a plate spinning Italian chef, with a huge behind.
The 90 minute production is visually dazzling, complete with fantastic lighting and music, beautiful, colorful costumes, 3D multi-media projections, water walls, and holograms in a 180 degree theatrical setting that engages and draws you in from the very beginning to the end. What comes to mind are elements reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil's O, producer Jeff Kutash's long gone Splash, and V-The Ultimate Variety Show, all wrapped up in one stunning production.
Needless to say, there is a lot to take in and experience with Wow, so be prepared to be enchanted, thrilled, entertained and, yes, wowed!
